Sangria

Serves: 12

Ingredients

  • 2 x 1 litre (1 3/4 pints) bottles of red wine

  • 1 litre (1 3/4 pints) bottle of lemonade

  • 4 tablespoons brandy

  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar

  • 1 large orange, cut into thin slices

  • 1 large lemon, cut into thin slices

  • 1 large eating apple, cored and cut into thin slices

  • ice cubes and soda water to serve

Method

  • Pour the red wine, lemonade and brandy into a large jug. Add the caster sugar, orange, lemon and apple. Leave to macerate and chill in a refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

  • When ready to serve, add a tray of ice cubes, soda water to taste and stir well.
