Grilled gammon steaks with spicy apple sauce
Ingredients

3 tablespoons apple sauce

2 tablespoons orange juice

1 teaspoon grated orange zest

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

a pinch of dried thyme

a pinch of dried sage

4 gammon steaks
Method

Prepare the barbecue for grilling. Mix together the apple sauce, orange juice and zest, and stir in the mustard, thyme and sage.

Brush the apple mixture over one side of the gammon steaks. Grill the coated side, over medium heat, for about 3 minutes.

Brush the top of the steaks with more mixture, turn over and grill for a further 3 minutes. Continue brushing and turning the steaks until done.

Serve immediately, with some additional apple sauce and mustard.
