Beef à la française

A simple yet delicious tast of France. This fresh combination of tender beef and herbes de Provence will be a brilliant addition to any barbecue menu.

Beef à la française
Time 35mins - Serves 4

Ingredients

4 pieces of beef sirloin steak
salt
Pepper
Oil
Herbes de Provence

 

Method

Add a pinch of salt on both sides of the piece of beef, leaving to absorb for 15 - 20 mins depending on the thickness of the beef.

Then remove all salt with a knive and spread the olive oil over the meat.

Add some pepper and herbes de Provence.

Turn the barbecue on and put the beef on the grill for 5 - 8 mins per side.

Tip: The French like the meat quite raw but you can allow 3 more minutes per side if you prefer it well done.

Of course, to enjoy this barbercue recipe in a French way, you will have it with a nice red wine and finish the meal with a creamy cheese camembert!
