Alfresco Appliance Health Check

After six months stored in a shed or garage, how can you tell if your alfresco appliances are fit to be fired up?

Make sure your barbecue and patio heater are in full working order when they are wheeled out for the summer with a free appliance health check by Calor.

The 'health check' is a free inspection of your barbecue or patio heater by a Calor representative. They will highlight any visible defects that may affect the safe and efficient operation of the equipment.

The health check covers the following elements:

Visual check - barbecue

  • Condition overall

  • Condition of burners

  • Condition of ignitor(s) and pilot(s)

  • Condition of grill plate, lava grid, lava rock (where fitted)

  • Condition of hose

  • Hose clips

  • Condition of regulator

  • Control taps

  • Ignition works and gives a spark

Visual check - patio heater

  • Condition Overall

  • Condition of burner mesh

  • Condition of ignitor and pilot

  • Movement of control tap and ignition spark

  • Tubing

  • Condition of hose and clips

  • Condition of regulator

  • Turn on gas at cylinder and light as normal - check mesh is burning correctly

  • Anti-tilt device (where fitted)
